THE BEST FALL COATS FOR WOMEN
Coats are a must for the fall season. Living in Chicago, I’ve learned to love using coats to make an outfit statement. Every woman needs an updated coat with the start of fall. I suggest investing in a long coat because of the versatility they offer, they are easy to wear from day-to-night and are often much warmer than shorter options.
If you need to invest in a new coat, you’re in the right place! I’m sharing a few of the best coat trends to invest in this year.
POP OF COLOR
After discovering the new Carlisle store on Oak St recently, I fell in love with colorful coats like with the one I am wearing here. The double sided wool with a pop of gorgeous pink is to die for, isn’t it?! Typically, I stick to neutral colors like black and white in my wardrobe but there is something so modern about a coat in color. It makes a statement whether you choose a bright or pastel color.
Plaid is a huge trend this season. Everything from skirts to coats were shown in plaid on the Fall 2018 runways. It’s a great option if you want something different from the typical solid color coats. Not only is it trendy, but it also looks great with business attire if you need something with a professional aesthetic. I am obsessed with this Carlisle check coat with a pop of pink.
Animal print is THE print of the season, I talked about my new found love of the print in this post. If you want a coat that will make a statement, animal print is the perfect way to do that. Depending on your preference you can try animal print coat in fur, trench or wool.
TEDDY + FUR
Personally, I have always loved fur coats and jackets. More often than not you see fur jackets that are shorter in length. This season, however, there are a lot of longer faux fur coat styles. Teddy coats are another big trend for fall. This style coat is similar to fur in that it has a soft texture but it’s not as thick as traditional faux fur fabrics.
Of course, camel is always a great coat option. It’s timeless and happens to be another big trend this year. For an updated take on camel coats it’s all about the over-sized silhouette.
Which of these coat trends are you planning to invest in this year?
