Let’s talk about prints! Last year, leopard print was crazy popular. Leopard has never been my favorite, but as a stylist that loves to experiment, I finally opened up to this trend and I am so happy I did! Prints don’t have to be crazy bold, and they don’t have to be the centerpiece of your outfit. But they are an exciting way to refresh your wardrobe! I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and bring some fun prints in to your closet! And if you need a little guidance or inspiration, here are 5 prints everyone will be wearing this season.
This summer season we are reintroduced to one of my favorite prints, gingham! Gingham puff sleeve tops, dresses, and high-waist shorts work for everyone’s style. If you want to go bold, let gingham shoes do the talking.
Polka dots are a retro print that will never go out of style, but it’s fun to see them having a moment this year! Try mixing the feminine print with edgier pieces like leather and distressed denim.
Florals are always on trend, but this season they are getting bolder than ever. Daisy print is the big focus! Go edgy with black and white florals and distressed denim, or playful with a floral puff sleeve top and white shorts.
The tie-dye trend broke the internet during lockdown! We’ve already seen tie-dye loungewear, so it’s time to get out of the box. Shop for (or DIY!) tie-dye tees, dresses, and swimwear. You can even try tie-dye denim or faux leather!
Since I tried and loved leopard print, I’m excited for the next big animal print, zebra! This print is bold, so be careful not to overdo it. Go for zebra print in the details, like sneakers or a bag.
Please share with me your favorite print trend this season and how you style it!
