As you know from my last post, just a few weeks ago was Gindi Tel Aviv Fashion Week, one of Israel’s biggest fashion events. I already covered my favorite looks and some trends here, and as fashion was happening all the way in Tel Aviv, I was busy working on my own fashion show here in Chicago.
The fashion show was held at DePaul University to celebrate Israeli fashion, during Israel week at the same time as Israeli fashion week. I styled the models (beautiful students from DePaul) and put the entire show together. As you know I love producing fashion events; its my passion! The main featured designer was HIDAS, but there was also some Ciporkin, Sisters M, Frett, Persy and Blush.
The girls were absolutely stunning as models, and they all really worked the clothing! We brought in some elements straight from the runway in Tel Aviv. We did loud but grounded colorful capes and dresses, like Sabina Musayev did on the Gindi Tel Aviv runway. We also did some sheer blouses like Ariel Toledano showed us in Tel Aviv.
My daughter Katya and husband attended the event. Katya had the cutest moment at the end of the show where she grabbed the microphone and told everyone it was the “best day of her life.” So cute! I love that she has a passion for fashion and confidence at such a young age.
I wore a Yigal Azruel dress from Chicago Felt boutique and Katya is wearing Lola and the Boys with link, (get 15% off with promo TALI15)!
I opened the event speaking and to share my story behind Tel Aviv Couture and HIDAS. It was incredible having this chance to promote Israeli fashion in Chicago!
Thank you DePaul for having me again and thank you JUF for sponsoring and making this happen!
